I can't believe I'm saying this, but Mania is actually looking like it could be the best overall show since 19 in Seattle.
There are three big matches. Only one of them will be any good (HBK/Cena), in my opinion anyway, with the other two being Taker vs. Batista (which should have great heat), and Umaga w/Vince vs. Lashley w/Trump. All three of them are being built very well and there is still a lot of time before Mania.
Plus we have MITB 3 which so far looks like it's going to have Edge, and CM Punk in it, along with four more people TBA.
And I think it's a very strong rumor that we will be seeing MNM vs. The Hardys vs. London & Kendrick which would be all sorts of awesome.
So far if it keeps going this way, I'm actually excited for this one.

Lets talk about it.
There will be matches. Half will be ok(including the main event), 2 will suck, then 2 others will be amazing, making WWE look really good.

I like the WWE, and I went to Wrestlemania 22.....I always try to defend WWE because its always been my favorite brand to watch....
But I honestly have to say that Wrestlemania 23 was the biggest pile of horse shit I had ever seen in my entire life......
Money in the bank was the only match I enjoyed......Fuck John Cena, he made Shawn look fucking terrible.....Worste Main Event ever.....Terrible finish......Fuck my ass that PPV sucked cock.
I am so glad that I didnt go to Wrestlemania this year and I feel sorry for the people who actually paid hundreds and hundreds of dollars to attend that shit fest.

Money In The Bank & Benoit Vs MVP
were the only matches that seemed like everyone went all out for, I even enjoyed Kahli and Kane even.
Everything else was horrible, Cena & Michaels we shitty and thats saying something when HBK generally can pull a great match out of anyone, but Cena sucked. Michaels worked his leg a lot in the match then suddenly Cena was fine and his leg was not damaged at all...Cena made HBK look like total shit, and when he won the match the crowd was totally dead. They booked that match all wrong, Cena should of been the one acting heelish...not HBK because it made NO SENSE to beat on Cena for a huge comeback when everyone in the building was booing his ass when he was trying to comeback in the match, it killed everything. Everyone but the little kids wanted to see Cena lose and get his ass kicked.
Batista, wow even Taker couldn't pull out a good match with him. That match sucked too. I just could tell the booking team didn't have high hopes for this match, when they booked it in the middle of the show and not the main event as they planned.
Lashley Vs Umaga was about as worse as I thought it'd be. This match was overhyped and you had 2 guys who can't do anything in it, if you had two workers would could work and not rely on falling out of the ring as the "HOLY SHIT" effect, it's sad. You had plenty of guys in the back that were not used on Mania who could of put on a great match and made it interesting. But no, you took Umaga who can't work and Lashley the crowd boo'ed to make this match...pathetic.
Overall, mania was generally what I expected...guys looking for the big pay day and not giving the people there money's worth. Thank god for Benoit and the Ladder match.

i thought batista and taker was really good, batista tried really hard to have a good match, and where we watched everyone was into it

well being almost the biggest mark in kwo i have to say i was impressed
Taker has that "phenom" thing going and he should stay that way at every wrestlmania. fuck umaga, fuck lashley...but i loved the beniot and mvp match. in the imortal words of john "they are actually wrestling at a wrestling show!" and how beniot couldnt get mvp in the cross face made the match better to see how benoit was going to finish mvp. cena can get fucked by a rampagin buffalo and mauled by a cougar for all i care

I just dont get how some people enjoyed Cena and Michaels....My dad even said that he has seen matches on Raw more exciting.
Benoit and MVP did a great job, the ladder match was the best match in my oppinion.
Personally the Batista VS Undertaker match was'nt even all that bad.....Boring, but it was Batista best effort so I will have to give him some credit, he tried.
But the main event killed me....especially when Michales and Cena were in that corner for about 5 min. just slowly chopping and punching eachother. Dave and I were hoping to god that Kennedy would come out and beat Cena, since there was like a half an hour left on the show.
What sucks most is I have to buy the DVD in order to continue my collection.....Grrrr.

Ladder match was okay. Moves for the sake of moves just like the other years. It was fun and I'm glad they gave Punk and Kennedy the final spotlight. Just not impressed because I've seen so much crazier, wackier stuff.
Kahli/Kane was what it was. At least it was kept short.
Benoit/MVP was a very good match. MVP really showed me something, and I'm starting to take a liking to him. Should have had more time though. The finish came off a little anticlimactic.
Batista/Taker was the best I've ever seen Batista. This match has gotten a lot of credit online. I think mainly because everyone expecting a negative star match but actually saw those two guys work real hard. Big spots hot crowd and hot false finishes plus they gave the fans what they paid for which is to see the streak go on. I thought it was good. And with WWE that's all you can really expect. The people who watch WWE pay to see superstars, not wrestling, and at Mania they pay to see spectacle, not skill. So they are almost always getting what they want.
ECW/New Breed was pretty boring, but what did you expect? Nobody in WWE cares about ECW so why should anyone else? At least it was kinda neat to see those old school ECW'ers on Mania and get a pay day for it.
Umaga/Lashley was also what I expected. It wasn't really about them, and this was prolly the only way they could do their big McMahon/Trump draw that they wanted. And after watching Trump throwing offense and taking a stunner I'm so glad they did it this way. It was typical booking of a match of this nature. Kudos to both guys for taking the floor bumps. Vince is still the best character eva.
Women's match made me hate women and gay all at once.
Main event and Cena's intro is hated on and loved depending who you talk to. I don't know if I love the match I thought it was okay, and I like the last few minutes of the match as there was some very cool finish reversal spots. Cena's entrance was hella lame but way better then he and Hunter's shittiest intros eva from last year, plus I'll go a head and say this match was better then last years main. Cena didn't sell the leg, Hogan didn't sell eaither. Lots of people jump on the match for that, you have to put that aside as it's WWE. On the other hand if anyone put thought into it you could easily say that it was Mania, the main, for the belt, and he had an adrenaline rush and fought through the pain. However apparently if the announcers don't say it then it's not happening. Match was still a let down though. But if the match sucked it was because of HBK and not Cena. It's HBK's job to do the carry. I don't think a guy like Cena would do a half job on the biggest show of the year. However Shawn Michales on the other hand took a stunner and then lost on WrestleMania 14 then got knocked out by Mike Tyson and sold it by visably chewing gum on the mat while he was suppose to out cold to spite Vince for dropping the belt.
Overall a better show from last year. Booked very well, and paced very well. Unfortunately nothing really stood out and for such a big show I for sure thought they would have had something great for us to remember. Definatly buying the DVD, and I can't wait to watch the HOF in full as those are always great, at least for me. Still glad I didn't go, even more so after watching it. Fun show but nothing overly exciting nor was it anything to write home about.
